Colin Carswell

Director, Counter Trafficking Network
Colin is the Director of the ‘Counter Trafficking Network’ and is a retired Metropolitan Police Superintendent. In his role as a senior leader, Colin was the tactical lead for many operations combating organised crime, including the first ‘Joint Investigation Team’ in Europe to combat human trafficking.
Colin has held senior Command Team responsibilities responding to terrorist incidents (including the 2017 attack on London Bridge) as well as other significant major operations.
In addition, Colin lecturers at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, teaching the MA course on ‘Human Trafficking, Migration and Organised Crime’.
